Medical visit & camp
As part of its ongoing commitment to rural healthcare and community welfare, M. Wahed Medical College, Anwa (Taluka Bhokardan, District Jalna), successfully conducted a door-to-door medical camp in underserved villages.
In this initiative, medical students visited rural households to provide basic health check-ups, consultations, and health education to the local residents. The focus was on early detection of common illnesses, promoting preventive healthcare, and raising awareness about hygiene, nutrition, chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, and women’s health.
The camp also provided:
Blood pressure and pulse monitoring
- Basic health counseling for elderly and women
- Distribution of health information leaflets in the local language
- Individual attention to patients in their homes or local surroundings
The image above reflects the compassionate, hands-on approach taken by our students, particularly focusing on women’s health, where female patients felt safe and respected while receiving care from trained female medical students.
Through such rural outreach programs, M. Wahed Medical College aims to bridge the healthcare gap in rural India and provide its students with real-world experience in community medicine.
